Summer Youth Employment Program
The Youth Employment Program provides eligible Westchester County youth ages 14 – 20 with job readiness skills training and paid work experience at a rate of $17 per hour. Work experience consists of entry-level jobs in a variety of industries, including government agencies, non-profits, small businesses, and retail organizations.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be 14 to 20 years old
- Must be a year-round Westchester Resident
- Must meet NY TANF/State income guidelines (listed on application)
- Must have a social security card
- Must participate in scheduled work readiness workshops
Only completed applications with proof of household income, a resume, and copy of work permit (if applicable) will be accepted.
Applications are available starting April 1st 2026 and can be submitted in person at the Carver Center, Mon-Fri between 9AM to 5PM or can be mailed to: Port Chester Carver Center, P.O Box 429, Port Chester, NY 10573 Attn: Karina Lehan

PROGRAMA DE EMPLEO DE VERANO
El Programa de Empleo Juvenil ofrece a los jóvenes elegibles del condado de Westchester de entre 14 y 20 años experiencia laboral pagada a $17 por hora y entrenamiento en habilidades de preparación para el trabajo. La experiencia laboral consiste en trabajos de nivel básico en una variedad de industrias, incluidas agencias gubernamentales, organizaciones sin fines de lucro, pequeñas empresas y organizaciones minoristas.
Requisitos de Elegibilidad:
- Debe tener entre 14 y 20 años
- Debe ser residente de Westchester durante todo el año
- Debe cumplir con los requisitos de ingresos estatales/TANF de NY
- Debe tener una tarjeta de seguro social
- Debe participar en talleres programados
Sólo solicitudes completas con prueba de ingresos del hogar, un currículum y copia del permiso de trabajo del joven (si es menor de edad) se aceptarán.
Las aplicaciones estaran disponibles comenzando Abril 1, 2026 y pueden ser entregadas en persona en el Centro Carver, de Lunes a Viernes entre 9AM y 5PM o puede enviarlas por correo al:

Work experience consists of entry-level jobs in a variety of industries, including government agencies, non-profits, small businesses, and retail organizations.
Eligibility Requirements:
— Must be 17 to 20 years old
— Must be a year-round Westchester Resident
— Must meet NY TANF/State income guidelines
— Must have a social security card
— Must participate in scheduled job readiness workshops
This past year, we empowered 58 teens, including 32 who participated in the summer 2024 employment program.
