SUMMER YOUTH EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM
Carver Center receives grants from the Westchester Putnam Workforce Development Board for the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP).
The contract provides funding for youth between the ages of 14 and 20 with job-readiness skills, training and summer employment opportunities.

YOUTH EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM
The Youth Employment Program provides eligible Westchester County youth ages 17 – 20 with job readiness skills training and paid work experience at a rate of $16.50 per hour. Work experience consists of entry-level jobs in a variety of industries, including government agencies, non-profits, small businesses, and retail organizations.
Eligibility Requirements:
— Must be 17 to 20 years old
— Must be a year-round Westchester Resident
— Must meet NY TANF/State income guidelines
— Must have a social security card
— Must participate in scheduled job readiness workshops
This past year, we empowered 58 teens, including 32 who participated in the summer 2024 employment program.
